Like many of you, Caring Fields Felines thought for sure that we would be able to have our annual Merry Meows event in 2021. In fact, planning was well underway when we had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s celebration due to the increased number of people infected with COVID-19. The safety of our community is of utmost importance, and we cannot responsibly host the event with the ongoing threat of COVID-19.

Why not go virtual?
Many organizations have turned to virtual events accessed through Zoom or other media methods. However, our annual Merry Meows evening is more than a fundraising event, it is an opportunity to come together and celebrate our community and accomplishments. We want to celebrate those successes in person when it is safe to do so!

Success to date:

2021 brought new opportunities as well as ongoing challenges with the COVID-19 environment. Once again, we were not able to host a Kitten Shower but instead held a successful online donation drive, while also keeping our nursery full of “Moms to be” and their new litters.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, to date, we placed 341 felines in forever homes and are on target to meet our 2021 goal. We expanded our sanctuary adding new and beautifully decorated housing for our residents. We painted and gave a facelift to existing facilities. And we're launching some new community programs, like the high school art club project. All of this is possible because of the continued generosity of our supporters.

Sponsorships:
Sponsorships make up the largest percentage of our Merry Meows revenue; we could not do our work without you, and we continue to be grateful for your support. Cancellation of this year’s event will result in approximately $100,000.00 in lost revenue. Continuing sponsorships or new ones are needed. More than ever, we would love to see more corporate or company sponsorships in addition to our many loyal individual sponsors. This year, we are committed to providing personal and valuable brand recognition and visibility of your sponsorship throughout the coming year. Here is what you can expect through September 30, 2022:
